.DISCUSSION...
Widespread heavy rain is forecast to develop today and persist
through much of the week. Heavy rainfall will likely bring areas
of flooding but a cold front late Thursday into Friday will bring
a drying trend starting Friday and largely persisting into next
week. A passing system could bring some rainfall to the northern
portions of the area Saturday into Sunday but otherwise more
fall-like conditions will build into the area beginning Friday.
