.DISCUSSION...
Warm and clear conditions are expected for most of today.
Temperatures are in the low 60s and will increase to 77 this
afternoon, while relative humidity is currently around 50% and
will drop to around 25% this afternoon. Winds are currently from
the southwest at around 15 mph and should increase closer to 20
mph this morning. Wind gusts are expected to be as high as 30
mph throughout the day. A boundary is going to move through Iowa
this afternoon, bringing with it a wind shift and a low (20%)
chance of thunderstorms. Winds will begin shifting around noon,
becoming from the west, and around 3 pm winds will be from the
west/northwest at around 23 mph. Because of this boundary, a low
(20%) chance of thunderstorms is forecast between 3 and 5 pm.
Around any thunderstorm that forms, gusty and erratic winds may
occur.
