A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the area through
Saturday night. Please refer to the National Weather Service
website at weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

Bitter cold is expected early next week, with morning lows in the
single digits and feels like temperatures near to below zero,
especially in northern Iowa. Additional snow is possible Monday.

Spotter activation will not be needed, however snow reports are
always appreciated.
