Patchy drizzle and freezing drizzle have developed along and east of Interstate 35 and along and north of Highway 20 in northern Iowa this evening. This precipitation is expected to persist through midnight before pushing east of the area. With temperatures hovering near freezing, slick spots may develop on untreated roads and highways and particularly on elevated surfaces. Check road conditions before heading out tonight. Be alert for slippery stretches on roads, bridges, and overpasses, as what appears to be wet pavement may actually be icy. $$ Cogil
