...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 6 and 9
  inches. Total accumulations between 8 and 13 inches. Winds gusting
  as high as 35 mph at times.

* WHERE...Much of Iowa.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult to impossible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Increasing winds late today into tonight will
  cause blowing and drifting of snow and prolong travel impacts even
  after falling snow has ended. Travel conditions may not improve
  until Sunday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the
motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your
destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially
cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is
winterized and in good working order.

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations between
  2 and 4 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze.

* WHERE...Taylor County.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact post-Thanksgiving travel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.
