West wind gusts in the 30 mph range are likely with gusts of 40 to mph becoming more likely Wednesday afternoon. Cold air also moves into the region and leads to activation of lake effect snow showers Wednesday night and Thanksgiving Day. There is a chance that coverage and duration will be sufficient to affect holiday travel.
