Rating: EF-0 Estimated Peak Wind: 80 mph Path Length /statute/: 3.4 miles Path Width /maximum/: 160 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: May 16 2025 Start Time: 1211 AM EDT Start Location: 3.7 SW Layton Corners Start Lat/Lon: 43.1476, -84.0511 End Date: May 16 2025 End Time: 1214 AM EDT End Location: 1 S Layton Corners End Lat/Lon: 43.1624, -83.9876 Survey Summary: Reports from local media, emergency management, and fire officials. Damage started near the intersection of Ditch and Gasper Roads with a couple of barns damaged, a garage blown off of the foundation and another garage with a door and wall blown out. Also in this area were a few trees uprooted and large limbs snapped. Similar damage was reported along Ferdon Road between Briggs and Lincoln Roads including two additional barns with roof damage, a garage with a blown out door and wall, and numerous uprooted trees and snapped large limbs. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the event and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$
