.DISCUSSION...

Unseasonably mild conditions continue with highs in the mid-to-upper
70s areawide today. An approaching cold front will produce breezy
conditions this afternoon with peak southerly gusts around 20
mph. With minimum RH values between 30-50%, there is an increased
threat of field fires, especially across portions of eastern Iowa.

Tonight, the cold front will bring scattered rain showers and isolated
storms to eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois, but rainfall amounts are
expected to be light, ranging from a trace to a tenth of an inch.

precipitation that occurs or any snow on the ground. Please
