...Synopsis...
Fire weather concerns will remain low across the contiguous U.S.
today. Additional rainfall associated with a mid-level trough over
the central U.S. will continue to suppress fuels across the Southern
Plains, northward into the Upper Midwest. Dry conditions including
RH as low as 30% and above normal temperatures are expected across
much of the Northeast today amid receptive fuels. However, weak
surface pressure gradients influenced by surface high pressure
extending into the Mid-Atlantic should maintain light winds through
today, reducing the overall fire weather threat.
