Day 1 Fire Weather Outlook
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
1012 AM CDT Sat Nov 01 2025

Valid 011700Z - 021200Z

...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

Locally elevated conditions are likely in portions of southeast
Wyoming and central Montana today, with some stronger winds aloft
surfacing that will help to enhance breezy surface winds from
modestly strong surface pressure gradients. Wind gusts of 25-35 mph
are already occurring at several surface stations in
central/southern Montana, but RH is likely to remain above elevated
criteria today due to high/mid clouds. Winds and temperatures
increase while RH decreases tomorrow across these areas, which will
lead to better chances of elevated to locally critical conditions.

...Synopsis...
A mid-level trough will progress southeast toward the eastern U.S.
as upper ridging builds over the Intermountain West today. While
surface lee troughing will take place over the north-central U.S.,
most of the CONUS will remain under the influence of surface high
pressure and associated cool/calm conditions. As such, no major
wildfire spread concerns are expected across the CONUS today.
