Fire Weather Planning Forecast For NE Kansas/NW Missouri
National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO
257 AM CDT Thu Oct 16 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Gusty south winds 20 to 30 mph are expected this afternoon and
Friday afternoon. Although, relative humidity values will remain
above critical thresholds, the gusty winds coupled with somewhat
dry fuels and above normal temperatures will provide slightly
elevated fire weather concerns the next two days. Storms are
expected to arrive Friday night mitigating fire weather concerns
at that time.
