.DISCUSSION...High pressure over the Pacific Northwest will maintain
hot, dry weather across interior valleys through the weekend with
zero chance of wetting rain. High temperatures will reach into the
80s and 90s across inland Trinity, Mendocino, and Lake counties on
Sunday afternoon, with minimum relative humidity values falling into
the 15 to 25 percent range. Daytime winds will follow typical local
patterns, starting light and northerly in the mornings before
turning upvalley and upslope during the afternoon as inland terrain
heats up. Light offshore winds with an easterly component will
develop Tuesday night into Wednesday morning as an upper-level low
pressure system moves eastward into Nevada. Along the immediate
coast, a shallow marine layer will keep cool air, low clouds, and
fog trapped through Monday, bringing excellent overnight humidity
recoveries to coastal beaches while higher inland ridges experience
poor to moderate recoveries.
