...LOCALLY CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR HIGHER ELEVATIONS
TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY MORNING...
.DISCUSSION...High pressure builds this week bringing much warmer
and drier conditions. Most interior valleys will see high
temperatures of 90s to just over 100. Afternoon relative
humidities are forecast to be in the single digits or teens. Winds
will generally be light and terrain driven, though offshore winds
may be breezy Tuesday night over the higher elevations. Locally
critical fire weather conditions are expected above 3000 feet for
poor overnight relative humidity recoveries and breezy offshore
winds. Recoveries remain poor in the higher elevations and good to
moderate in the lower elevations through Thursday. Cooler
temperatures and a deeper marine layer return late this week.
