.DISCUSSION...Very hot temperatures are expected today. Some
relief from the heat is forecast by mid week, but it is generally
expected to remain hot all next week. Offshore flow continues to
bring dry air and gusty winds to the higher terrain overnight,
especially in Humboldt and Del Norte counties. Winds gradually begin
to ease over the coming days. There is a 10-15% chance for dry
thunderstorms with gusty outflow winds over northern Trinity County
mountains this afternoon and evening.
