DISCUSSION FOR FORTUNA DISPATCH
303 PM PDT FRI AUG 29 2025

DRY WEATHER WILL CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK,
WITH LOW DAYTIME RH VALUES IN THE TEENS AND SINGLE DIGITS,
ESPECIALLY IN TRINITY, LAKE, AND NORTHEASTERN MENDOCINO. WINDS
WILL MOSTLY BE DIURNALLY AND TERRAIN DRIVEN, WITH A PERIOD OF
ENHANCED BREEZY CONDITIONS OVER THE RIDGES TODAY AND THIS
WEEKEND, WITH WIND GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH, ESPECIALLY IN TRINITY AND
LAKE COUNTIES. SOME SLIGHT IMPROVEMENT IN THE RH RECOVERIES ARE
EXPECTED FOR TONIGHT, BUT POOR OVERNIGHT RECOVERIES WITH VALUES IN
THE UPPER 20`S TO UPPER 30`S IS FORECAST FOR THE FAR INTERIOR
RIDGES. ONSHORE MARINE MOISTURE WILL CONTINUE TO PROMOTE GOOD RH
RECOVERIES FOR AREA BELOW THE INVERSION (<2500 FEET). A WARMING
AND DRYING TREND IS EXPECTED EARLY THROUGH MID NEXT WEEK AS THE
HIGH PRESSURE BUILD IN, WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE INTERIOR
VALLEYS PEAKING IN THE 90S AND INTO 100S ON TUESDAY AND
WEDNESDAY. THERE IS A LOW CHANCE (<10%) FOR A THREAT OF AFTERNOON
AND EARLY EVENING THUNDERSTORMS NEXT TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.
