.DISCUSSION...The marine layer gradually deepens and intrudes
farther inland Tuesday and Wednesday. Coastal stratus is unlikely
to reach the area, but RHs in the valleys will improve tonight
into Tuesday morning. Recoveries in the higher elevations are
forecast to be in the 50s. Winds may remain breezy in the higher
elevations with gusts to 10 mph overnight. Winds increase Tuesday
afternoon with gusts of up to 10 to 15 mph possible in both the
valley and higher elevations. Mixing heights are likely to remain
low both Tuesday and Wednesday. A similar pattern is expected
Tuesday night into Wednesday, but with a deeper marine layer there
is a chance for coastal stratus to reach the valley. RH recoveries
into the 90s are likely for the valleys and 60s or higher for the
higher elevations. A similar afternoon wind pattern is expected
with breezy northwest winds in the afternoon with gusts up to 15
mph. Mixing heights are likely to be similar if not slightly
higher on Wednesday afternoon. The valley inversion is forecast
to break around 11am and noon both Tuesday and Wednesday.
