.DISCUSSION...Conditions Wednesday will be similar to those early
week. A deep marine layer has brought low clouds up the Klamath
River valley. Low clouds are expected to quickly erode by around
9 am. Winds will generally be light and northwesterly in the
afternoon, with peak gusts likely around or below 10 mph. The
marine layer becomes shallower tonight and with northeast wind,
clouds may struggle to reach as far into the Klamath River Valley.
Still, patchy valley fog is possible with high RH. A warming
trend due to an upper level ridge is expected through the later
half of the week with temperatures reaching the 90s through the
weekend. Ridging will create a drier and more stable atmosphere,
so expect slightly lower RH values both for daytime and nighttime.
Winds will also be weaker through this time, increasing the
influence of smoke on burn operations.
