.DISCUSSION...Mild and dry conditions will prevail over the Ship
Mountain burn site (site elevation 964 ft) on Monday, September
28. High temperatures will reach mid-70s, with minimum relative
humidity values ranging from 43% to 45% between 1300 and 1600 PDT.

Forecast soundings indicate a shallow surface inversion Monday
morning that will break quickly after sunrise. Once mixing
establishes, model guidance indicates mixing heights expanding to
2,100 ft AGL by 0900 PDT, reaching a peak at least 2,300 ft AGL
during peak afternoon heating, before collapsing back to 2,100 ft
AGL and lower Monday evening.

20-foot winds will remain light. Light east-northeast winds around 2
mph Monday morning will transition to northwest at 5 mph during
the afternoon. Transport winds within the mixing layer will
average 6 to 8 mph, shifting from east-northeast or variable in
the morning to north-northwest in the afternoon.

Moderate relative humidity recovery of 68% to 77% is expected
Monday morning, with 54% to 58% recovery Monday night.

No lightning or wetting rain is forecast.
