.DISCUSSION...A strong ridge of high pressure will develop and
expand in from the Desert Southwest. This will result in a rapid
warm up starting Monday. RH will drop into the mid 20s to upper
teen Wednesday with daytime highs reaching the low 90s to over
100 in the valley. The heat and dry conditions may aided by
offshore winds Wednesday if a thermal trough develops. The
offshore winds will potentially turn breezy Wednesday, increasing
fire weather concerns. Unseasonably hot temperatures will
continue Thursday before the ridge begins to weaken and
temperatures lower going into next weekend. There is currently a
zero percent chance for wetting rain over the next 10 days.
Subtropical moisture will surge northward over the area
Wednesday, and will have to be monitored for thunderstorm
potential. Currently, chances are very low, less than 5 percent
due to the strong, capping high pressure.
