Don`t Let Rivers Fool You!
 - Water flows much faster and deeper a short distance from shore.
 - Cold water and swift current can overpower any swimmer.
 - Hazards like submerged trees can trap you under the surface.

Make river visits safer by following these guidelines:
 - Wear a life jacket for all river activities.
 - Find areas with very slow moving water.
 - Avoid entering fast moving water, even if it seems shallow.
