248 ABPZ20 KNHC 022310 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Sat Aug 2 2025 For the eastern and central North Pacific east of 180 longitude: Active Systems: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Gil, located well west of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Central East Pacific (EP90): Disorganized showers and thunderstorms located well southwest of the southwestern coast of Mexico are associated with a broad area of low pressure. Environmental conditions are conducive for development of this system, and a tropical depression is expected to form late this weekend or early next week while the system moves west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...70 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days...high...90 percent. South of Southern Mexico: An area of low pressure is forecast to form offshore of the coast of Central America and southern Mexico by the middle part of next week.
