The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a

* Dust Advisory for...
  Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico...
  Northwestern El Paso County in western Texas...

* Until 830 PM MDT.

* At 727 PM MDT, a wall of dust was along a line extending from 8
  miles southwest of White Sands National Park to 4 miles southwest
  of Sunland Park, moving west at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Less than one mile visibility with strong wind in excess
           of 40 mph.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Hazardous travel.

* This includes the following highways...
   Interstate 10 in New Mexico between mile markers 111 and 164.
   Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 1 and 26.
   Interstate 25 in New Mexico between mile markers 1 and 25.
   Highway 70 in New Mexico between mile markers 150 and 178.

Locations impacted include...
West El Paso, Central El Paso, Northeast El Paso, Mission Valley,
Chaparral, Leasburg, Santa Teresa, Vado, Las Cruces, Anthony, White
Sands Missile Range Headquarters, Jornada Range, Radium Springs,
Sunland Park, Dona Ana, Afton, Anthony Gap, NMSU Main Campus,
Canutillo, and Berino.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving
conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in
dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep
your foot off the brake.

Motorists should not drive into an area of blowing dust. PULL ASIDE
STAY ALIVE!
