...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM NOON MDT TODAY THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of south central New Mexico, including the
  following areas, East Slopes Sacramento Mountains Below 7500 Feet
  and Sacramento Mountains Above 7500 Feet.

* WHEN...From noon MDT today through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Well-above average moisture and a passing shortwave trough
    will result in scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and
    evening, capable of producing heavy rainfall and flash
    flooding. Burn scars are especially at risk.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
