...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of western Sierra County in New Mexico,
  particularly along back roads east of Chloride and around Chise,
  and along upper portions of Cuchillo Negro Creek.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over
  roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 505 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Water flow may reach as far as Farm Canyon Road above
    Cuchillo later this evening.
  - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
    Winston, Chloride and Chise.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
