...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central New Mexico, including the
  following county, Dona Ana and western Texas, including the
  following county, El Paso.

* WHEN...Until 645 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 445 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
    has fallen.
  - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
    West El Paso, Central El Paso, Northeast El Paso, Santa
    Teresa, Anthony, Sunland Park, Canutillo, Vinton, Westway, La
    Union and Franklin Mountains State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
