Fire Weather Planning Forecast for New Mexico and Far West Texas

.DISCUSSION...

A fair weather Thanksgiving day across the fire zones today as
high pressure eases over the region from the west, and keeps the
storm track well to our north. Despite dry conditions, we will
see increasing high clouds. Temperatures will be above normal,
with minRH dropping into the 20 to 30 percent range. Winds will be
quite light and favor a northerly component. Through the weekend,
and most of next week, we will continue with a dry west flow pattern
with little to no chance for any precipitation. Storms will pass
mostly to our north, with some marginally breezy afternoons.
Temperatures will drop a bit behind weak fronts and trough passages,
but remain slightly above normal. Ventilation will start out fair
to poor, but improve a bit as the ridge breaks down over the weekend.
