...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN OTERO...
SOUTHEASTERN DONA ANA AND NORTHWESTERN EL PASO COUNTIES THROUGH 430
PM MDT...

At 354 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4
miles north of Chaparral, moving south at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Chaparral.

This includes Interstate 10 in New Mexico near mile marker 161.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
