At 350 PM MDT, numerous thunderstorms were developing across the Hatch and Mesilla Valleys, in the wake of an outflow boundary moving in from the east. These storms will vary in intensity, but stronger cells will be capable of producing strong wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph, localized blowing dust, and torrential downpours. Additional thunderstorm development is possible, including over the El Paso Metro area in the next hour. Thunderstorms will likely spread west into Luna and Grant Counties along with the outflow. Locations impacted include... Caballo Lake, Arrey, Salem, Hatch, Dona Ana, Las Cruces, Radium Springs, Leasburg, Vado, Anthony, El Paso. Portions of Interstate 10 between El Paso, Las Cruces, and Deming will be impacted. Portions of Interstate 25 between Las Cruces and Truth or Consequences will also be affected. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
