...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN LUNA AND
SOUTHWESTERN DONA ANA COUNTIES THROUGH 545 PM MDT...

At 508 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 20
miles southeast of Columbus, moving north at 25 mph. This storm will
cross the international border near the Luna/Dona Ana County line
around 525 PM.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Camel Mountain.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
