...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 AM CDT THIS
MORNING FOR WESTERN BANDERA, SOUTHWESTERN GILLESPIE, KERR, EASTERN
REAL AND NORTHEASTERN UVALDE COUNTIES...

At 940 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned
area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Kerrville, Vanderpool, Ingram, Hunt, Kerr Wildlife Management
  Area, Lost Maples State Natural Area, Waltonia, Mountain Home,
  Utopia, Harper, Garner State Park and Concan.

Heavier rainfall is becoming more isolated, and we expect this trend
to continue.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
