...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
  counties, Atascosa, Dimmit, Frio, Maverick, Medina and Zavala.

* WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 906 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate rain due to
    isolated thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing in the
    advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Pearsall, Carrizo Springs, Devine, Dilley, Big Wells,
    Asherton, North Pearsall, Moore, Las Vegas, Brundage, Divot,
    Hilltop, Bluff, Chaparral Wildlife Management Area, Light,
    Catarina, Derby, Carrizo Hill, Frio Town and Gilson Groves.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
