...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM CDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
  counties, Bastrop, Fayette and Lee.

* WHEN...Until 100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 829 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between
    1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Elgin, Bastrop, Giddings, Lexington, Dime Box, Round Top,
    Fedor, Paige, Circle D-KC Estates, Tanglewood, Camp Swift,
    Lake Somerville State Park & Trailway, Webberville, Carmine,
    Manheim, Hills, Lincoln, Leo, Serbin and Loebau.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
