Nueces River At Laguna affecting Uvalde County. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. The Nueces River crossing at Barksdale is very dangerous. East of Camp Wood Farm to Market 337 crosses Camp Wood Creek in three places. Vehicular related drownings have occurred at all these sites. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 10.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 AM CDT Tuesday was 11.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.7 feet this morning.
