...Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions for the
southern Edwards Plateau and Hill Country through early this
evening...
.DISCUSSION...
Gusty south winds and low humidity levels will result in elevated
to near critical fire weather conditions for the southern Edwards
Plateau and Hill Country through 7 PM this evening. South winds
will decrease around sunset as southerly flow continues to provide
an increase in moisture. Lower wind speeds and slightly more
moisture Saturday will limit fire weather conditions, though some
elevated fire weather conditions could develop over the southern
Edwards Plateau and northern Hill Country. A cold front Sunday
evening brings a low chance for showers and thunderstorms for the
eastern half of South-Central Texas late in the day, but
widespread wetting rains are likely to remain limited to areas
along and north of a Burnet to La Grange line. A warm and more
humid airmass is forecast to persist through much of next week,
with wetting rains possible during the middle of next week.
