.DISCUSSION...
A cold front moving across the region is producing sustained north
to northeast winds of around 15 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. The
combination of winds and minimum relative humidity values of 25-30
percent during the afternoon may continue to produce locally
elevated fire weather conditions for a few hours before winds
diminish after sunset and moisture recovers. Minimum RH below 30
percent spreads over most of the local area Thursday, but the
return of light southerly flow should promote a moistening trend
that lifts RH above 30 percent regionwide for the weekend. The
next cold front with a cool and breezy post-frontal environment is
forecast to arrive Sunday.
