.DISCUSSION...Hot and mostly sunny this afternoon. Nearest
observations at Pearsall and Cotulla show temperatures in the 100
to 102 degree range currently with humidity between 30 to 35
percent. Minimum humidity in the upper 20s to near 30 degrees will
be likely in the next few hours. South to southeast winds will
gust to around 20 mph and this also matches similar speeds that
are observed near Pearsall and Cotulla. This evening should see a
slight increase in winds through about midnight with gusts up to
25 mph possible, before decreasing towards sunrise. Humidity
levels gradually recover to around 90 percent by around sunrise.
Friday will trend similar to today with hot temperatures under
mostly sunny skies, and minimum humidity to around 30%. Winds will
also remain south-southeasterly with gusts to around 20 mph for
the afternoon.
