...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 7 PM CDT THIS
EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...
Oppressive heat continues over the next few days with near record
highs and hazardous heat index values that could climb into the
104 to 108 degree range for a few hours. Excellent RH recovery over
95 percent is expected the next couple mornings, and slow drying
is expected through noon before, but good mixing drops the RH
values below 60 percent by noon, with an average RH minimum at
around 40 percent by late afternoon. A nearly due south breeze
around 6 mph begins the daytime but late afternoon to early
evening winds switch to SE or around 150 degrees, as a sea
breeze arrives to pick gusts up to 20 to 25 mph in the evening.
A similar day to today is expected Tuesday, with very low chances
for rain each day.
