.DISCUSSION...
Another hot day is expected with no rainfall. RH values apparently
dipped just below 30 percent Thursday, but should hold in the low
to mid 30s today as there will be more morning clouds. High
temperatures may also be a degree or two lower but should still be
quite hot with elevated heat index values in the upper 90s to near
100. The main challenge for today is a varied wind direction between
lower and upper levels of the mixing layer, leading to light
transport winds and low windspeeds often less than 5 mph at the
surface, and variable in direction. Primary surface wind directions
should be between 130 and 170 degrees.
