.SHORT TERM...
(This afternoon through Tuesday)
Issued at 157 PM EST Mon Nov 3 2025

Fair and tranquil weather conditions are expected through the
short-term period (Tonight through Tuesday Night) for North and
Central GA as surface high pressure and the eastern fringes of a
mid-level ridge become situated across the Southeast. Under
clearing skies temperatures this afternoon will continue to climb
into the upper 50s/low 60s in North GA and upper 60s to near 70s
across south-central GA. Tonight, temperatures will fall back
into the upper 30s to low 40s areawide. Any patchy frost formation
is more likely to be confined to far northeast GA where
temperatures fall in the mid-30s. Similar to the previous
forecast, elected to hold off on any issuance of a Frost Advisory.

Generally a rinse and repeat forecast expected for Tuesday minus
any morning cloud cover/fog/mist. Temperatures are likely to be a
few degrees warmer than today as high pressure builds.

.LONG TERM...
(Wednesday morning through next Sunday)
Issued at 157 PM EST Mon Nov 3 2025

Feeling a bit like a broken record this afternoon for the long
term forecast, but very little change outside of some small
increase in confidence for the timing of precip chances over the
weekend. A weak clipper type system is still progged to swing over
the northeast US Wednesday, but should remain north of the CWA.
Temperatures continue warming from Wednesday through Friday as a
new surface high slides in behind that clipper system. Expect high
in the 70s and lows in the 40s. Models continue to show a
bifurcated jet with a wave progressing through the southern branch
and possibly phasing with one in the northern branch that will
bring a front into north and central Georgia sometime Friday night
into Saturday. GEFS and Euro ensemble has definitely honed in on
this time period with some support among the Euro-AI and GFS-AI
ensembles. Some questions remain around exact timing, strength of
the front/wave, and moisture availability. Moisture return on
Friday into Friday night with potential rain/cloud cover will mean
warmer overnight lows.

The next system on the horizon may be at the beginning of next
week, which could bring another shot of cold air into north and
central Georgia with frost/freeze possibilities, especially in
northern Georgia. A little far out to speak with any confidence on
this, so this is mostly for awareness for those who need to make
longer term plans for outdoor crops, etc.

.AVIATION...
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 1240 AM EST Tue Nov 4 2025

The forecast period will be SKC for all terminals. No
restrictions to VIS are expected. The only noteworthy forecast
variable will be a wind shift from NW/NNW early this morning to NE
around mid-morning and then E/ESE by late morning. Current best
estimation for the wind shift timing from the W side to the E side
at ATL is between 12z and 14z. Wind speeds are expected to be
light (~6 kts or less) during the wind shift.

//ATL Confidence...06Z Update...
High confidence on all elements.
