.SHORT TERM...
(Today through Sunday)
Issued at 613 AM EDT Sat Nov 1 2025

A cool, clear morning is ushering in the start of November. A
Frost Advisory is in effect across much of north Georgia and a
portion of central Georgia where temperatures between 33-36
degrees, light to calm winds, and a clear sky will promote at
least patchy frost formation. Have used the "cooler"/"lower" end
of the National Blend of Models (NBM) guidance for temperatures
this morning and for dew points through early evening to capture
the likely cooler and drier conditions, respectively. Like
yesterday, the 00z sounding shows very dry air above ~800 mb, so
daytime mixing will likely bring some of this dry air down to the
surface. This will especially be the case across central Georgia,
where an approaching swath of mid-/upper-level cloud cover will
arrive later in the day compared to north Georgia. High
temperatures will be seasonable -- mainly in the 60s, with 50s in
the mountains.

Dense cloud cover will blanket the County Warning Area (CWA) this
evening into the overnight, which means an overall warmer
overnight period. These clouds signal the approach of a
mid-/upper-level trough passing over the Ohio/Tennessee River
Valleys. The trough axis will traverse the area over the course of
Sunday, with a relatively weak cold front in tow. Very limited
instability but ample surface-to-500mb bulk shear suggest a low
chance (less than 20%) for thunder on Sunday, but some showers
could mix down gusty winds from aloft. The long term discussion
below will cover the anticipated rainfall totals through the first
half of Monday. High temperatures will be moderated by denser
cloud cover and showers across parts of north Georgia, while a
relatively warmer afternoon is expected elsewhere.

.LONG TERM...
(Sunday night through Friday)
Issued at 613 AM EDT Sat Nov 1 2025

Overall quiet weather through the long term outlook with the only
meaningful PoPs in the next week leaving the area Sunday
afternoon. PoPs Sunday afternoon will be low with a more
scattered/light shower pattern remaining as the upper level trough
pushes eastward. Main limiting factor in precipitation will be
PWATs of 0.5" to 0.75" Sunday evening. Conditions stabilize as
zonal flow holds through much of next week.

Daily temperature spread will remain slightly inflated given the
drier conditions. Highs will hold in the upper 60s to upper 70s
with lows in the 40s and 50s. Nice outdoor fall conditions can be
expect Tuesday onwards with sunny skies and a light breeze.

.AVIATION...
(12Z TAFS)
Issued at 613 AM EDT Sat Nov 1 2025

VFR conditions will prevail through the period, with gradually
lowering mid-/upper-level clouds through the day (~15 kft or
higher). FEW/SCT low-VFR clouds may move in as early as ~08z
Sunday under the higher clouds. Winds will remain light through
today (~5 kts or lower) with a shift to NE/E estimated between 14z
and 16z.

//ATL Confidence...12Z Update...
