.SHORT TERM...
(Today through Friday)
Issued at 512 AM EST Thu Nov 20 2025

Soupy conditions will start off this morning with dense fog as low
as a quarter mile for much of the CWA. Conditions are expected to
improve after sunrise with most of the fog burning off around 10AM.
A dense fog advisory covers most of west and northwest Georgia,
though it may need to be expanded closer towards sunrise.

Warm and humid conditions will remain in place today with highs in
the upper 70s and low 80s with dewpoints in the mid 60s region wide.
This will likely create foggy conditions again overnight and into
tomorrow morning as the moisture lingers.

Winds will remain light through the day and overnight lows in the
mid 60s tonight into Friday will be unseasonably warm; running
nearly 20 degrees above normal.

.LONG TERM...
(Friday night through Wednesday)
Issued at 512 AM EST Thu Nov 20 2025

No return to November-like temperatures is in the immediate future
as warm temperatures will persevere through the coming weekend. At
the start of the weekend on Saturday, some lingering light rain
showers will be possible as a weak trailing cold front sags across
the area. Coverage should be fairly limited with the greatest chance
primarily in north Georgia in the morning as upper support and
forcing diminishes through the afternoon. High pressure returns for
Sunday in the wake of the front with the post-frontal airmass
remaining unseasonably warm and only marginally drier.

Surface high pressure begins to be shunted northeastward by Monday
as a cutoff low lifts out of the Intermountain West and into the
Plains. This looks to herald a more active weather pattern heading
into next week with an initial increase in PoPs possible by Tuesday
as the associated cold front approaches. Still, broad uncertainty
remains regarding potential QPF. Any significant cooldown will also
hold off until at least late next week in the wake of any frontal
passage.
