.SHORT TERM...
(Today through Monday)
Issued at 145 AM EST Sun Nov 23 2025

Drying northwesterly flow at the mid-levels and high pressure at the
surface across much of ECONUS will support mostly clear and
generally tranquil conditions today and tomorrow. A stalled front is
draped across the midsection of the state (roughly between the
Atlanta Metro and Macon). With a drier airmass in place in the wake
of the front -- as evidenced by dewpoints in the 50s vs. the low-to-
mid 60s the linger across south central Georgia -- expect any fog
development this morning to be relegated to the southern half of the
forecast area. The onset of diurnal heating by mid-morning will
serve to mix out any lingering fog and the front, with a more
complete passage statewide expected by this afternoon.

Under more abundant sunshine, our unseasonably warm late-November
weather will continue. Highs today and tomorrow afternoon will be in
the upper 60s to 70s, with Monday morning lows in the 40s to near 50
-- as much as 8 to 16 degrees above average for highs, and 7 to 15
 degrees above average for lows.

.LONG TERM...
(Monday night through Saturday)
Issued at 145 AM EST Sun Nov 23 2025

Global ensembles continue to come into better agreement with mid-
week rainfall and cooldown late next week. The long term picks on
Monday Night with high pressure skirting off the East Coast as an
approaching low pressure system tracks across the MS River Valley. A
surge of moisture will advect into the region and the onset of rain
is slated to occur as early as Tuesday morning across portions of
Northwest GA. The surface low deepens on Tuesday as it continues NE
which will act to sharpen the front as it advances towards the
state. Weak instability + modest bulk shear + PWs of 1-1.5" may
result in some efficient rain producing showers and storms and
breezy winds, however, widespread severe weather remains low. Though
would not be surprised if a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) is painted
just to our west but encompasses a few of our northwest counties for
Tuesday. The main front will be well removed from the parent low and
with increasing clouds, steady rain and some rumbles of thunder
spreading from NW to SE/E will be the story between Tuesday and
Wednesday. Rainfall totals are still anticipated to be highest
across North GA (mainly north of I-85) anywhere from 0.75" up to
2.0" with less than an inch overall south of I-85. The front looks
to clear the area late Wednesday with high pressure beginning to
build in ushering in a cooler and drier airmass. This airmass will
stick around through the end of the week.

Temperatures will remain warm/mild through Wednesday with forecast
highs ranging from the upper 60s in North Georgia to upper 70s (near
80) across Central Georgia. Daytime temperatures in the 50s to low
60s and overnight lows near freezing return by Thanksgiving through
the end of the week in wake of the front.
