Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia
National Weather Service Peachtree City GA
116 PM EST Sat Dec 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...

No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.

Rain will gradually taper off from north to south across central
Georgia through this evening. An additional trace amount to
~0.05 inch of rain is possible this afternoon across the Oconee
District. Winds will be relatively light (7 mph or less) and
generally out of the west, before decreasing this evening and
becoming calm overnight. Areas of fog are likely overnight into
early tomorrow (Sunday) morning, with at least localized dense
fog possible.

Tomorrow is expected to be dry, besides a slight chance (~20%)
for showers across parts of central Georgia. Rain chances will
then increase to ~40% for much of north and central Georgia
Sunday night into Monday morning as another surge of moisture
arrives.

Relative humidity will remain well above critical thresholds as
the environment remains humid and cool. Winds are expected to be
light and variable in direction tomorrow, then shift to be out of
the northwest at 5-10 mph on Monday. Mixing heights should
finally lift above 2500 feet on Monday.
