.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values remain outside of critical thresholds.
High pressure with dry and relatively cool air will remain over
the area through the weekend. Low clouds over north Georgia will
continue to lift and scatter through the remainder of the
afternoon, giving way to mostly clear skies. Minimum RH values
this afternoon will range from 50-60 percent in areas north of
I-85 and 40-50 percent in areas to the south. In north Georgia,
winds will be N/NW at 5-10 mph with transport winds between
8-14 mph. In central Georgia, winds will be N/NE at 5-10 mph with
transport winds between 10-15 mph.
Minimum RH values on Saturday will range from 30-40 percent in
central Georgia and 35-45 percent in north Georgia. Light and
variable winds on Saturday morning will become NW at 4-8 mph in
the afternoon. Transport winds will be NE at 4-7 mph to start
Saturday morning, shifting to NW at 7-12 mph by the afternoon,
with highest winds across the northern zones. Mixing heights will
peak between 4- 5.5 kft each afternoon.
