.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather conditions are expected at this time. Dry
weather will persist across north and central Georgia through
Saturday. Minimum relative humidity values this afternoon will
largely range from 30-45 percent, with the lowest values in portions
of east-central Georgia. Winds this afternoon will be SE at 5-10
mph. On Saturday, minimum RH values will be slightly higher across
the area, between 40-55 percent across the majority of the area and
35-40 percent in south-central Georgia. Winds on Saturday will
remain S/SE at 5-10 mph to the south of I-85 while shifting to S/SW
at 6-12 mph to the north of I-85 as a cold front approaches the
forecast area. This cold front will bring showers and isolated
thunderstorms to the area Sunday morning into the afternoon. Severe
weather is not expected, though a few storms could become strong and
capable of producing gusty winds. Rainfall amounts are forecast to
range from 0.5-1 inch roughly north of I-20 and 0.25-0.5 inch to the
south.
