.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather conditions are expected at this time.
Winds and relative humidity values will remain outside of critical
thresholds.
Minor or moderate drought conditions continue to develop over much
of north and central Georgia due to lack of rainfall in the last 30
days.
Most areas will remain dry today with isolated showers and storms
possible over areas south and east of Macon this afternoon and
evening. More storms are expected in middle and east central
Georgia on Saturday afternoon and evening while north Georgia
still remains dry. Where rain occurs, amounts will average one half
inch each day with locally higher amounts possible.
Afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will continue to
be possible through the middle of next week but widespread heavy
rain is not expected at this time.
