.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values and winds will remain outside of critical
thresholds.
The influence of high pressure to the north of the area will promote
dry conditions across the area today. Broken to overcast skies will
be in place in the early morning, then gradual clearing and
scattering will occur through through the day. Minimum RH values
this afternoon will be between 45-60 percent, with slightly higher
values in far east Georgia. Winds will be NW at 3-6 mph to start the
morning, becoming becoming lighter and variable by the afternoon
with closer proximity to the high. Mixing heights this afternoon
will peak between 2-3 kft during the afternoon.
On Thursday, cloud cover will steadily increase through the morning,
becoming overcast during the afternoon. Along with this cloud cover,
light rain showers could arrive in far west Georgia by the early
afternoon, spreading eastward through the remainder of the
afternoon. Minimum RH values on Thursday will range from 50-60
percent. Winds will also return to NW and increase to 4-8 mph.
