.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values remain outside of critical thresholds.
Ample moisture across north and central Georgia will keep minimum
RH values largely between 50-60 percent this afternoon. Winds
will be NW this afternoon at 5-10 mph, becoming 5 mph or less
after sunset. Afternoon thunderstorms have dissipated for this
evening with isolated to scattered diurnal activity expected for
both Friday and Saturday.
Temperatures will continue to climb on Friday and Saturday, with
high temperatures rising into the mid to upper 90s. Minimum RH
values will still be well outside of critical thresholds, ranging
from 45-55 percent on Friday and Saturday afternoons. A Heat
Advisory is in effect for central and east Georgia this afternoon
until 8 PM for heat indices between 105 and 108 degrees. Another
Heat Advisory will be in effect for all of central Georgia and
most of north Georgia (excluding the far northeast mountains)
from noon to 8 PM EDT on Friday.
