.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values and winds will remain outside of
critical thresholds.
Increasing cloud cover occurs across all fire zones through the
day with rain chances ramping back up this evening particularly
across the southern districts. Periods of rainfall are expected
through the weekend with the threat for any thunder remaining
very low. Total rainfall through Sunday afternoon is forecast to
range from less than one inch in the northern districts to nearly
2-2.5 inches for the Oconee and southern/central districts.
Locally higher totals approaching 3 inches are possible,
particularly in the vicinity of the stalled boundary. Minimum RH
values this afternoon will range from 50-60% across the north to
70-80% across the southern districts. Through the remainder of
the weekend RH values will be above 70%. WNW/W winds today will
be less than 10 MPH. Mixing heights only top out around 1-2kft
this afternoon.
