.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather conditions are expected at this time.
Winds and relative humidity values will remain outside of critical
thresholds.
Isolated showers continue to move across north and western
Georgia this afternoon. Any rain amounts that occur with these
will be light. Tonight, rain showers will again be possible across
northern Georgia, especially during the morning hours. Tomorrow,
showers and a few storms will be possible across north Georgia,
and may extend into parts of metro Atlanta during the afternoon.
Winds tomorrow will be from the SW at 5-10 mph. Cloud cover
tomorrow will be limited to cumulus and any higher cloud cover
from morning showers and storms across north Georgia. Min RHs will
be higher compared to previous days thanks to some moisture
moving back into the area in the 40s and 50s. Mixing heights will
be 4-5 kft in the north and 5-6 kft in central Georgia by the
afternoon. Transport winds will be from the SW with sharp gradient
across the state - 10-15 mph in the north and 5-10 mph in central
Georgia. This will create a gradient in ventilation and thus
better ADI values in north Georgia (70-100+) compared to central
Georgia (30-70).
