.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values remain outside of critical thresholds.
Widespread showers and thunderstorms are ongoing across north and
central Georgia, and will continue into the evening. Coverage is
expected to be lower tomorow, and concentrated across the far
west and south portions of the area. Rainfall rates as high as
2-3" per hour have been observed through the morning. Any storms
that form will be capable of producing frequent lightning, gusty
winds, and locally heavy rainfall.
Minimum values of relative humidity will generally remain above
50% for all but far south central Georgia this afternoon. Surface
winds will be light (6 mph or less) and favor the west to
southwest this afternoon, shifting to the northwest at 5 to
10 mph on Saturday.
