.DISCUSSION...
Good morning,
Increasing clouds are expected today as Hurricane Isaias
approaches the Gulf Coast and makes landfall this evening. The
outer rain bands of the storm are expected to move into the burn
area after 3 pm this afternoon and could produce heavy rain at
times. Rain will become more continuous after midnight.
Winds will start off light this morning, gradually increasing
through the day. This morning they are ENE but will become east
after noon when speeds start to increase. Expect winds this
afternoon to be 10-15 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph. Gusts will
continue to increase overnight as well as the threat for severe
weather including isolated tornadoes.
We`re expecting RH values to fall into the low 50% range this
afternoon before quickly rising with the rising dew point brought
on by a surge of tropical air late this afternoon and into the
early evening.
