.DISCUSSION...
Good morning!
Development of patchy dense fog, resulting in visibilities as low
as 1/4 mile, remain a strong possibility at/near the burn site
this morning given light wind and rainfall that occurred
yesterday. Fog development should improve by 10 AM. Some patchy
fog is also anticipated for Friday morning between 6-9 AM, though
not to the extent of this morning. Near calm winds overnight will
pick up from the southeast at 3-6 MPH by noon persisting through
the day. Transport winds will favor a more due south direction
increasing to 8-12 MPH by noon or shortly thereafter. Mostly sunny
to partly cloudy skies, cloud bases 3-6 kft, will lend mixing
heights to peak around 6-7 kft this afternoon. Currently, relative
humidity sits between 95-100% with similar conditions expected
around 85-90% by ignition time. By noon, relative humidity is
forecast to be between 60-70% and reaching a minimum of 40-50%
after 2 PM. The chance for rain and thunderstorms is low (less
than a 10% chance) at the burn site. If something were to develop,
the most favorable time would be after 2PM and winds will likely
become variable and erratic.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions or
concerns.
